About Australia
General Information
Australia is the sixth largest country in the world, located in the Southern Hemisphere. It is 50 per cent larger than Europe, but has the lowest population density in the world - only two people per square kilometre.
Australian Cities
Each Australian city is rich in its own history and charm, offering a unique experience. Some are renowned for their outdoor lifestyle, others for sophisticated dining, culture and fashion. All are exciting destinations in their own right.
Attractions
Australia is a land of natural beauty, boasting over 7,000 beaches – some of the best in the world! From the Great Barrier Reef to the untamed wilderness of Tasmania, to the sparkling snowfields of Kosciusko, Australia offers something for everyone. If the outdoors is not your thing, you’ll find world famous art galleries, museums and architecture, not to mention fabulous culinary delights and exciting nightlife.
Weather
Australia is the driest continent on earth, making it a fabulous destination all year round. From Christmas at the beach to skiing in August, Australia's seasons are the opposite of the northern hemisphere. The Aussie summer officially starts in December, whilst Australia’s mild winter commences in June.
